Irish Dry Stout - (ale) Irish Dry Stouts typically have a lighter body (even though most think they would be thick because of their dark color) and a low alcohol level to make them more drinkable, or what we would call a session beer.  Typically served with nitrogen instead of CO2 to give them a very creamy and smooth taste.  Roasted malt is used in the brewing process and that gives them their characteristic roasted/coffee flavors.  Examples: Murphy's, Beamish, Guinness.
